Weddings

Look no further than South Church, one of New Hampshire’s premier wedding destinations, located in beautiful downtown Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Our sanctuary seats up to 500 people, and features Greek revival architecture with a colorful but restful interior. You are welcome to invite the officiant of your choice if you so choose.

Your guests will enjoy our unique location, only one block from Market Square, the heart of downtown Portsmouth. There, you will find many of the area’s best restaurants, shops, art galleries and hotels all within walking distance of each other. Also close by you will discover the wonderful Prescott Park, boat rides on the Piscataqua River and the Historic Strawberry Banke museum alongside many other historic sites.
