August 15 -      Phoenix, General Assembly and An Alien’s Rights

At the General Assembly of Unitarian Universalists this year an important conversation took place. The decision to hold our general assembly in Phoenix or not, emphasized our solidarity with the immigrants suffering under the rule of the new anti- immigration legislation in Arizona. Learn about the decisions, the conversation and about what your fellow U.U.’s hold as sacred.

August 22 -      Peace and Politics

Our General Assembly delegates voted to enact a statement of conscience against the violence and destruction of war. Today we will continue the conversation we began last week and learn about the historic stand for peace our congregations are being asked to take.

August 29 - We will be closing our appreciative inquiry weekend today. Our worship service will focus on gratitude for what we have accomplished, our vision for our future and celebrating our community efforts. Bless us every one for assuring a vital and relevant future for this congregation. We will have two locations to choose from, accommodating everyone’s needs – Star Island and South Church.
