The mission of the Fellowship Associates is to engage the congregation in hospitality as a spiritual practice which recognizes and values every individual. Fellowship Associates facilitate the work of the church in welcoming visitors, inviting new members, sustaining current members, and supporting all in the community as they seek spiritual meaning.
We would like to express our gratitude to all in the congregation who have participated in our mission to make South Church a more welcoming community. Some of you have served as greeters or welcome table hosts; some have hosted social hour, carried a red mug, or simply extended a warm welcome to our guests and returning members; and some have helped bring us together through your support of special events and activities throughout the year. Thank you.
We also appreciate your cooperation in our efforts to establish an alternative traffic pattern on milder Sunday mornings. Hopefully, we will have more opportunities to practice as the winter progresses!
In the near future, we will be distributing a survey to the congregation in hopes of learning what kinds of fellowship activities you would like to see and would support at South Church. Please take the time to share your thoughts. We also have a new bulletin board located behind the Welcome Table in Fellowship Hall; we encourage you will check it frequently to find out what’s happening and how you can become more involved.
